True Partner joins the 2024 Global Volatility Summit in New York City

In-person gathering for institutional investors

The 15^th Annual Global Volatility Summit will be held on Tuesday 17 September 2024 at the Perelman Performing Arts Center in New York City.

The Global Volatility Summit is an in-person gathering of several hundred attendees including hedge fund managers, industry experts and senior investment professionals across the financial markets. The content for the annual summit is thoughtfully designed to educate institutional investors on the use of volatility and quantitative related strategies.

At the event, panelists include hedge fund managers across the volatility, tail hedging, quant, and macro spaces to discuss their views on the markets and the use of such strategies within the context of institutional investment portfolios. Next to volatility trading, the event will also feature a keynote presentation by Tim Peake, the British astronaut who will among others discuss his time at the International Space Station. While at first glance an astronaut’s expertise may appear remote from the realm of volatility trading, the key for both is managing complexity in a highly uncertain environment. Another similarity can be seen in the involvement of proverbial rocket scientists.

Tobias Hekster, Co-CIO of True Partner Capital USA in Chicago, will be a speaker again at the 15^th Global Volatility Summit in September 2024. He will contribute to a panel which will cover various general developments in volatility, titled “Market Q & A”.
